At BCC our philosophy of “New Ways for Better Days” becomes a reality. Clients have an initial assessment session, (ie 90 minutes) in which they focus on their current needs and goals. Both adolescents (ages 12-18) and adults are welcome for counsel. We practice on a strength-based model, focusing on identifying stregnths and building resiliency. For clients who are dealing with depresson, anxiety, post traumatic stress syndrome, chronic medical illness, bipolar disorder, grief/loss, adjustment disorders (due to moves, transitions, life changes) we will work with you through these issues. We will teach self-advocacy, skill-building, increasing self-care and family/community support, as well as learning to advocate withing the medical/mental health system for family members or an individual.
